Cotton flannel and fine cotton flannel

Cotton flannel is famed for its thick cotton weave which is brushed on one or both sides. This makes the material slightly thicker, fleecier and also softer, so that it feels warmer against the skin. Since it is breathable, can regulate temperature and absorb moisture, your body will be kept at the ideal temperature, ensuring that you are warm in winter and cool in summer. Cotton flannel and fine cotton flannel bedding is woven from 100% cotton and brushed for extra comfort. Fine cotton flannel is a finer, more lightweight version of this popular woven fabric.

Cotton Flannelette and fine cotton flannelette

Although cotton flannelette fabrics have finer threads and are not as heavy as cotton flannel fabrics, they offer a sleeping sensation that is no less soft and cuddly. You'll feel warm and cosy when wrapped in this soft and cuddly fabric, which is brushed on one side. Since the fabrics are breathable, can regulate temperature and absorb moisture, your body will be kept at the ideal temperature. Cotton flannelette bed linen is woven from 100% cotton and fine cotton flannelette from 100% cotton or 100% maco cotton. The most sophisticated member of the cotton flannelette family, luxury maco cotton flannelette, always features the use of 100% maco cotton. Another advantage is that the sheets don't usually need to be ironed if they are washed in a delicates cycle.

Jersey and maco jersey

If you like to feel at one with nature when sleeping, then jersey is just the right fabric for you! Thanks to a knit-based production technique, this material is especially soft and smooth to the touch. Moreover, it is also breathable, absorbent and suitable for tumble drying. Jersey is knitted from 100% cotton and maco jersey from 100% maco cotton. Egyptian maco cotton is one of the best qualities of cotton available.

Micro fibres

As the name "micro" suggests, micro fibres are very fine - even thinner than natural silk. Accordingly, they can absorb more moisture than any cotton fibre. Perspiration is therefore easily absorbed and released into the air. This ensures that the skin remains dry at all times. Despite the fine fibres, a substantial air lock is created to ensure excellent heat retention and high breathability. Enjoy comfortable quality with a soft peach-skin feeling achieved by the light brushing of the fabrics. As pollen and mites cannot settle in the fabric, micro fibres are also the ideal choice for people suffering from allergies. These products are particularly easy-care, suitable for tumble drying and, subject to compliance with the care instructions, non pilling and non-iron. Colour intensity is retained even after frequent washing. Micro fibres are made from 100% polyester. 60°C wash.

Seersucker

The name seersucker comes from the Persian "shir o shekar" and means "milk and sugar". Seersucker is a cotton fabric characterised by alternate strips of smooth and bumpy material. This wrinkled appearance is created by varying the tension of the warp threads during the weaving process or by applying substances post production which shrink the fibres. Seersucker is an easy-care fabric which will not need to be ironed if treated according to instructions. It is advisable not to overfill the washing machine and not to spin the fabric too fast. The crinkle effect will be retained permanently even after numerous washes.

Waffle weave

Patterned profile fabric with a relief effect. Genuine weave fabric always features a warp yarn and a weft yarn and therefore has two warp and two weft systems; the weft and warp yarns consist of thick, often wicking material. The pronounced relief effect of the pattern is created by the tension of the taut warp yarn.

Waffle weave is a lightweight fabric material with a pattern which resembles the surface of a waffle. It feels particularly light and comfortable on the skin. The structure of this material makes it highly absorbent. Non-iron. Our tip: Close zip before washing.

Soft terry towelling

Cotton

is the most popular textile fibre in the world. And for good reason. 100% cotton is biodegradable, breathable, and can regulate temperature and humidity. It is able to absorb up to 20% of its own weight in liquid without feeling damp to the touch. Cotton materials feel very comfortable against the skin (they do not "scratch") and agreeable to allergy sufferers.

Certified organic cotton

Cotton has been cultivated from many varieties of the mallow family for thousands of years in tropical and subtropical regions. The Egyptians were working with cotton as long ago as 12,000 B.C. In Babylon, cotton was referred to as "white gold". Alexander the Great brought cotton to Europe from India in 325 B.C. Since then, cotton has become the unrivalled king of the textiles and is now the most important and most widely used natural fibre in the world. Little wonder, since cotton is soft, does not tear, is hard-wearing, skin-friendly, highly absorbent, resistant to heat and also easy-care. Cotton stores moisture such as sweat, salt, acids and fats in the cavities of its fibres ready for release during the washing process. However, its mass cultivation in Egypt and other sub-tropical regions was often to the detriment of the environment and plant. But there is an alternative: certified organic cotton. No artificial fertilizers, pesticides or defoliants are used in the production of certified organic cotton. Genetically modified plants are also banned. Crops are harvested by hand. A fair trade policy is in place to support producers. End users too can rest easy since no agents or processes which might be harmful to the environment are used in onward processing. Certified organic cotton is particularly skin-friendly. Since it is non-irritating and hypoallergenic, it is particularly suitable for people with sensitive skin. The first certified organic cotton product to be offered for sale by Erwin Müller is a throw by David Fussenegger.

Polyester

This synthetic fibre is frequently used because of its easy-care characteristics. Polyester is highly form-stable and extreme resistant to light and weather. Accordingly, polyester filaments can be used in a wide variety of applications and are particularly popular in the technical textiles sector. Its good anti-absorbent properties mean that it dries quickly.
